DESCRIPTION:Coed Snorkel Social with Everyday CA \nThis month I’ll be switching my hiking meetup for an ocean activity. There’s no better way to spend a summer day in San Diego than at the beach! We live in one of the best coastal cities on the west coast- let’s take advantage! \nOn Saturday August 24th\, I’ll be hosting a Coed Snorkel Social with Everyday CA. Join me on this 90 minute excursion in La Jolla Shores to search for leopard sharks. Typically\, July- mid September is the best time to see these friendly ocean animals. They come to La Jolla Shores specifically for the warm\, shallow water. They hang out just off the coast in search for food and a mate. \nIf the weather and ocean conditions are in our favor we’ll be able to see them and a couple other resident ocean animals. My goal is to build community in the outdoors whether that’s hiking\, playing pickleball\, surfing\, or more. The outdoors brings people together and allows us to build authentic friendships in America’s finest city. Bring your paddle\, a ball\, and a friendly attitude. \nQuick Details: \n\nDate: Saturday June 15th\nTime: 12-2pm\nLocation: Bobby Riggs\, Encinitas\, CA\n5 private courts just for our group!\nCapacity: 20 people\nPrice: $20 per person\nNon-refundable\n\nIt’s important to accurately describe your experience level when you sign up\, so I can place you with other players your level. There will be one or two beginner courts depending on how many novice players join. \nLow level intermediate are players who can sustain a short rally with other players of equal ability. These players have the basic ability to keep score\, but might need a reminder every now and again. Not the best backhand or forehand but puts in play often. \nAfter a 10 minute warm up we’ll play short games in a round robin format. How the round robin works: \n\nRotate partners in every round\nPlay against a different doubles pair every round\nPlay each round for 15 minutes\n\nThis event is now full. We will have 3 courts dedicated to Low Intermediate Play and 2 courts for Novice/ Beginners. Join me on a sunset hike after work\, on Wednesday April 24th at 6:00 PM. This is a great way to break up the work week and reset. A time for us to come together and connect in the outdoors. About the hike: Annie’s Canyon is a unique slot canyon in Solana Beach. The canyons themselves are only a 1/4 mile in length and are not dog friendly. The rest of the trail follows around the lagoon. DESCRIPTION:THIS MEETUP IS NOW FULL. If there are any cancellations\, I will post to my instagram account. For now you can save the date for my next hiking meetup. Wednesday March 13 I will be hosting a ladies only sunset hike in Mission Trails Regional Park. I will post the link to RSVP on Instagram Thursday March 7th. Check back then. \nJoin me in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park to hike Stonewall Peak! Trust me\, it’s worth the drive. From the summit you are rewarded with panoramic views of the State Park and surrounding landscape. It’s is a moderate 4 mile hike located about an hour east of San Diego. It’s completely exposed so pack a hat and bug spray wouldn’t hurt. If it’s warm out\, the flies can be brutal. With an earlyish start we can avoid some of the crowds and bugs. Please note the last 1/4 mile of this hike to the summit climbs up an exposed boulder with a railing for guidance. If you’re not good with heights\, this is not the hike for you. Please assess your hiking ability before signing up as this is a moderate hike with elevation gain similar to Black Mountain Summit and Cowles Mountain. \nHere are the details: \n\nDate: Sat 3/9\nTime: 8:30-10:30am ish\nTrail: Stonewall Peak Trail\nDistance: 3.8 miles\nTrail type: out and back\nDifficulty: Moderate\nElevation Gain: 800 ft +\nDog Friendly: No\nFees: $10 State Park Day Use Fee\nMax capacity: 20\n\nOptional add on: A short drive away is Green Valley Falls. After hiking Stonewall Peak\, we can check out the falls and take a dip in the cold water to cool off. It’s only about a 1/4 mile walk from the parking lot to the falls. Est time: additional 45 min (depending on how long you want to spend checking out the area). Expect crowds- this is a very popular area for families and other outdoor enthusiasts. \nPlease make sure to include your Instagram when you register.
