DESCRIPTION:March Coed Hiking Social- San Elijo Lagoon + Annie’s Canyon \nJoin me on my go-to local hiking trail in San Diego! We’ll be doing a three (ish) mile loop around the entire lagoon plus an optional stop into the infamous Annie’s Canyon- a unique slot canyon by the beach! \nA slot canyon is a narrow passage with steep walls made out of sandstone (not for the claustrophobic). Years ago\, Annie’s Canyon was entirely covered in water. Over time the rock eroded and eventually turned into the canyons we see today. It’s one of San Diego’s most unique hikes and worth checking out at least once! \nBecause this hike is easily accessible and family friendly\, expect to be sharing the trail with other hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. Please plan on arriving 10-15 minutes early to find parking and walk to the trailhead. \nHere are the details: \n\nDate: Saturday\, March 29\nLocation: Cardiff\nTime: 9:15 am- 11:00 am (ish)\nTrail: San Elijo Lagoon\nDistance: 3 ish miles round trip (+ 1/4 mile if you choose to add on Annie’s Canyon)\nTrail type: Loop\nDifficulty: Easy\nElevation Gain: 200 ft (ish)\nDog Friendly: Yes (but not in the canyon)\nMax capacity: 20\nParking: residential\nFees: No fees\n\nFill out the form below to RSVP. \nTrail snacks/ beverages are highly encouraged! DESCRIPTION:Coed Snorkel Social with Everyday CA \nThis month I’ll be switching my hiking meetup for an ocean activity. There’s no better way to spend a summer day in San Diego than at the beach! We live in one of the best coastal cities on the west coast- let’s take advantage! \nOn Saturday August 24th\, I’ll be hosting a Coed Snorkel Social with Everyday CA. Join me on this 90 minute excursion in La Jolla Shores to search for leopard sharks. Typically\, July- mid September is the best time to see these friendly ocean animals. They come to La Jolla Shores specifically for the warm\, shallow water. They hang out just off the coast in search for food and a mate. \nIf the weather and ocean conditions are in our favor we’ll be able to see them and a couple other resident ocean animals. DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL. Don’t worry this is just the first of many. \nJoin me Saturday June 15th from 12-2pm for an afternoon of social pickleball! My goal is to build community in the outdoors whether that’s hiking\, playing pickleball\, surfing\, or more. The outdoors brings people together and allows us to build authentic friendships in America’s finest city. Bring your paddle\, a ball\, and a friendly attitude. \nQuick Details: \n\nDate: Saturday June 15th\nTime: 12-2pm\nLocation: Bobby Riggs\, Encinitas\, CA\n5 private courts just for our group!\nCapacity: 20 people\nPrice: $20 per person\nNon-refundable\n\nIt’s important to accurately describe your experience level when you sign up\, so I can place you with other players your level. There will be one or two beginner courts depending on how many novice players join. \nLow level intermediate are players who can sustain a short rally with other players of equal ability. These players have the basic ability to keep score\, but might need a reminder every now and again. Not the best backhand or forehand but puts in play often. \nAfter a 10 minute warm up we’ll play short games in a round robin format. How the round robin works: \n\nRotate partners in every round\nPlay against a different doubles pair every round\nPlay each round for 15 minutes\n\nThis event is now full. We will have 3 courts dedicated to Low Intermediate Play and 2 courts for Novice/ Beginners.
